Two new colonies for immigrants from English-speaking countries were established today in Lower Galilee. One hundred members of Hashomer Hatzair founded a new settlement located seven kilometers from Mishmar Easmek, scene of severe fighting last year immediately following the proclamation of Israel. The new settlement was named for Joseph Kaplan, one of the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto.
