Anglo-jewish Association Welcomes Britain’s De Facto Recognition of Jewish State

The Council of the Anglo-Jewish Association last night adopted a resolution welcoming the British Government’s de facto recognition of Israel and expressing the hope that full recognition would not be long delayed.

The resolution also urged the government to use its influence to promote a final settlement between the Jewish and Arab states. During a discussion of the situation of Jews in Arab countries, particularly in Aden, Morocco and Tripoli, it was pointed out that while the British government supplies fluids to feed destitute Arabs in the Haramout camp, in southern Arabia, it will not grant aid to Jews in Aden who were stripped of their possessions during pogroms last year.
