The office of the Latin American Department of the Joint Distribution committee here issued a statement today declaring that negotiations are currently under way to renew the agreement of last year by which the Ayuda — fund-raising instrumentality for the J.D.C. and the World Jewish Congress –received 50 percent of the first 6,000,000 pesos collected in a united Argentine campaign.
The remaining 50 percent went to the Jewish National Fund and the Keren Hayesod. The sums raised over and above this initial amount were set aside for one-time emergency grants to various groups.
