The arrival of an Israeli trade mission to Turkey is expected soon, it was reported here today. The mission will negotiate a trade pact between Israel and Turkey, the report said.

It was also indicated here today that Israel is prepared to assign David Aboulafia as its diplomatic representative to Turkey. Aboulafia is a native of Turkey who has resided in Palestine for many years. (In Tel Aviv, Israeli Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett today stated that the Government will shortly appoint immigration officers to be stationed in Turkey for the purpose of regulating the stream of new immigrants coming from that country.)

It was estimated here today that since the start of Jewish emigration from this country some six months ago, about 14,000 Jews have gone to Israel. Nearly 10,000 of these emigrants left the city of Istanbul.
