The Massachusetts Committee of Catholics, Protestants and Jews, at its 12th annual dinner here last night, cited Henry Morgenthau Jr., general chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, as “a living symbol of the identity of the Jew and the American” who has carried “the message of good -will through international boundaries on a world-wide scale.” Mr. Morganthau was honored earlier at a luncheon arranged in his honor by the Combined Jewish Appeal of Boston.
Others cited by the Massachusetts Committee were Vice-President Alben W. Berkley and former heavyweight boxing champion James J. Tunney.
