Human Rights Commission Rejects Motion to Allow Individuals to Petition U.N.

The U.N. Human Rights Commission today rejected a French move to include the right of an individual to petition the world organization for redress under the projected covenant of human rights. As the draft now stands only governments will have the right to file complaints of violations with the United Nations.
