Israel has been admitted to membership in the International Civil Aviation Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations, whose third session opened here earlier this week.

A vote on Israel’s admission was demanded by the Egyptian delegation. When it was tallied, it was discovered that only Egypt and Iraq opposed the Jewish state’s admission. Louis Pincus, who up to now has served as Israeli observer, will be the official delegate.
