The “Fonds Social Juif Unifie,” which will probably begin functioning this October, will not include fund-raising efforts in behalf of Israel during its first year of life.” Judge Leon Meiss has been named president of the organization’s executive committee. Meanwhile, Judge Meiss has announced his resignation as president of the Jewish Consistory of France.

A medical conference has been held here under the auspices of the OSE, 0RT and the J.D.C. medical department. The parley decided to establish in Paris a committee to aid the rehabilitation of Jewish victims of tuberculosis and deficiency diseases, in which the three sponsoring organizations of the conference and the Jewish Agency will participate.
