A total of 48 settlements were established in Israel from January through May of this year, Judge Morris Rothenberg, acting national chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, revealed today. He added, in a semi-annual report to the U.P.A.’s board of directors, that plans for founding 60 additional colonies during the remainder of 1949 have already been drafted.
