Clifford Alexander Weallans, a London constable, who was convicted of having set fire to several Jewish-owned shops last April was today sentenced to five sears in prison.
Commenting on the former policeman’s statement that he set fire to the premises in revenge for what Jews in Israel did to friends of his who served with him in the Mandatory police force in Palestine, the Judge declared: “It is perfectly wicked thing that innocent people are made to suffer for something with which they had nothing to do.”
