The Miami Beach city council has unanimously approved an ordinance making it “unlawful to maintain or display any advertising matter or sign” which discriminates against persons on the grounds of race, religion or creed. An “enabling act” adopted by the state legislature at the suggestion of the Florida region of the Anti-Defamation league made passage of the ordinance possible.
