Argentine Govt. Appoints Naturalized Jew to Diplomatic Post; Discards Old Policy

Jacob Neviasky, a native of Lithuania, was appointed today administrative official of the Argentine legation in Israel. He is the first naturalized citizen to be appointed to a post in the Argentine diplomatic service. Hitherto the policy of the Argentine Government was to appoint only native Argentineans to such posts. Mr. Neviasky will sail for Israel within a few days to take up his new duties there.
