Trial of Hitler’s Envoy in Paris Opens Today; Charged with Ordering Action Against Jews

The trial of Otto Abetz, Hitler’s ambassador in Paris during the Nazi occupation of France, will open here tomorrow. The charges against him include responsibility for Nazi pillaging of Jewish property in France and for the deportation of thousands of East European Jews from France to extermination camps in Poland.
