A reception in honor of Israeli Chief Rabbi Dr. Isaac Halevi Herzog was held here under the auspices of the Central Consistory of Jews of France. Among those who attended were Chief Rabbi I. Schwartz of France, Adolphe Gaen, vice-chairman of the Consistory, and Rabbi Jacob Kaplan, president of the Mizrachi Organization of France. Dr. Herzog urged the guests at the reception to form a union of Jewish religious groups in France as well as a common religious fund.
