A bill proposing to grant amnesty to American citizens who fought in the ranks of the Israeli or the Arab armies during the Arab-Israeli war was introduced in the House yesterday under bi-partisan sponsorship.

The bill also recommends amnesty for Americans who participated in shipping arms to Israel or to the Arab countries between September, 1947, and February, 1949. Americans who lost their citizenship as penalty for their service in the Israeli or in the Arab armies would regain it by taking a naturalization oath under the terms of the bill.
