The first British Overseas Airways Corporation plane to land in Israel arrived at Lydda airport yesterday. The craft brought a number of pilots who will familiarize themselves with flight facilities in the Jewish state preparatory to inaugurating a regular weekly air service from Britain. The last B.O.A.C. plane left Lydda in April, 1948, shortly before the Britain mandate terminated.
