First Israeli Citizen Gets United Nations Fellowship Award for Study in Economics

The U.N. has announced the first fellowship award to a citizen of Israel. He is Uri Bergman who will receive a course in economic planning under the U.N. economics division.

The award was made under the U.N. program of technical assistance for 1949 on a basis of geographical distribution. It was the only application from Israel under the U.N. fellowship system.
