A banquet attended by a thousand members was given this week-end for Dr. Joseph Tsur, Israeli envoy to Argentina, by the DAIA. central representative body of Argentine Jews, the Zionist Council and their major groups.
Argentine Jewish leaders praised Dr. Tsur as a genuine representative of the Israel Jewish community. In reply, Dr. Tsur said Israel expects Argentine Jewry to fulfill its mission as Israel’s partner in the task of maintaining wide-open doors for the Jewish state.
