The Jewish organizations and individual leaders here accused of “treason” and blacklisted last week in the Peronist newspaper, Democracia, today decided not to issue any statement refuting the allegations.

The decision was taken following a meeting of Jewish leaders with the editor of the Democracia. However, the Jewish organizations will take “internal measures” to counteract the mistaken impression created by the allegations of the Peronist newspaper, it was announced.

Sucher Matrajt, former president of the pro-Peron Jewish group, Organization Israelita Argentina, presented to Argentine President Juan Peron certificates which he brought back with him from his recent visit to Israel attesting to the fact that the President and Mme. Peron have been inscribed in the Golden Book of the Jewish National Fund in Jerusalem.
