A meeting at Auja el Hafir of the mixed Israel-Egyptian armistice commission examined charges of truce breaches and mining by infiltrating Arabs. The commission decided that mixed patrols would henceforth guard the demarcation lines between the two countries. A special subcommittee was immediately formed to work out the technical arrangements for carrying out this decision.

A special committee of representatives of the International Red Cross and of Israel went to Latrun today to start preparations for exhuming the bodies of Israel soldiers who fell in the Latrun area in last year’s battles. The committee inspected the area and began marking the graves. It is estimated that nearly 80 Israel soldiers were buried in the area.
