Rumania Permits 60 of 240 Jews Awaiting Transportation to Israel to Embark on Ship

The Rumanian Government agreed today to allow 60 of the 240 Jews awaiting transportation to Israel at the port of Constanza to embark on the S.S. Eilath following intervention on the part of the Israel legation here.

The 60 Jews are of various national backgrounds. The remaining 160 Rumanian Jews are still wasting for permission to board the Israel-bound vessel.
