Governor Thomas E. Dewey today dedicated a new $1,100,000 building at Hillside Hospital, which will increase the bed capacity of the institution to nearly 200, in ceremonies on the hospital grounds here. More than 1,000 persons attended. The new pavilion at the hospital, which is an affiliate of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, which is currently seeking to raise $50,500,000, and New York City’s only voluntary non-sectatian hospital for the care and treatment of incipient curable mental ailments, will be called the Morris Lowenstein Pavilion.
