Rabbi Morris Silverman of this city has been elected chairman of the Connecticut Inter racial Commission, it was announced over the week-end. Rabbi Silverman was appointed a member of the Commission in 1943, serving since that time as deputy chairman. The Commission compiles facts concerning discrimination in employment, violations of civil liberties and other related matters.
