New Anti-semitism Growing in Europe, Dr. Goldmann Warns Canadian Jewish Congress

A warning that a “new poison of international anti-Semitism is growing in Europe which would be led, financed and spread from an unregenerate Nazi Germany” was made last night by Dr. Nahun Goldmann, chairman of the American section of the Jewish Agency, addressing the eight plenary session of the Canadian Jewish Congress here.

Terming discussions of “dual loyalties” as “sheer nonsense,” Dr. Goldmann said Israel was still in the “danger zone.” Delegates attending the parley adopted resolutions calling on the Canadian Government to support the Jewish state’s stand on Jerusalem and urging the Congress to set up a nationwide educational committee to allocate larger funds for the purposes of Jewish education.
