Rumanian Court Upholds Life Imprisonment Sentence Imposed on Murderer of Jews

A sentence of life imprisonment imposed on the former Rumanian Army General, Olimpiu Stavrat, was upheld by the Rumanian Supreme Court. The defendant had been found guilty of ordering and carrying out the “massacres of peaceful civilian populations, especially Jews.”
