Bernard Baruch Gives $450,000 to Nyu-bellevue Institute of Physical Medicine

Bernard Baruch has contributed $450,000 to the New York University-Bellevue Medical Center for its Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Center announced yesterday. The announcement also revealed that the Louds J. and Mary E. Horowitz Foundations contributed $100,000 to the Institute.

The Institute was originally set up by a grant from the Baruch Committee on Physical Medicine which was established in 1944 with a $1,100,000 grant from Mr. Baruch. Two weeks ago, Mr. Baruch announced that he intended to leave his estate to institutions working in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
