Four Geneva conventions were signed here for Israel by its diplomatic representative in Switzerland, A. Kahane. One pact dealt with treatment of prisoners of war while the other three, which were signed with the reservation that Israel will use the red Shield of David as its emblem, concerned amelioration of the condition of sick and wounded in the armed forces, aid to shipwrecked persons and protection of civilians in wartime.
