Jewish Professor in Rome Named Life Senator by President of Italy

Prof. Guide Castelnuovo, member of one of the oldest Jewish families in Italy, today was named one of the first life senators of the new Italian Republic by President Luigi Einaudi. He is a renowned mathematician and the founder of the School of Statistics of the University of Rome.
