A statement asserting that hundreds of U.S. and Canadian rabbis will “appeal to the enlightened conscience of mankind to support the citizens of Jerusalem in their determination to remain an integral part of Israel” was issued today by Dr. Israel Tabak, president of the Rabbinical Council of America.
“Jerusalem has always been the symbol of the faith of Israel which has united the Jewish people throughout the world. It has been the core and the very heart of our religion,” the statement pointed out.
