Rumanian Jews whose birth, marriage or identity records are incomplete, inaccurate or lost as a result of the war or anti-Semitic activities on the part of officials of the Rumanian Government before and during the war, will be able to rectify the errors and replace missing documents under a new, simple procedure announced here today by the government.

The new procedure, which entails no payment of fees, will permit Jews and other Rumanian citizens to make documentary changes and corrections merely by stating the facts. This includes even name changes, the announcement in the Official Gazette said. The establishment of legal death certificates will undoubtedly facilitate many problems facing the Jewish population.
