Lutheran Church in America Optimistic on Return of Israel-reid Lutheran Property

Optimism with regard to obtaining the release of German Lutheran Mission properties taken ower by Israel forces after the British relinquished their mandate in Palestine was expressed here today at a session of the National Lutheran Council by Rev. Dr. Franklin Clark Fry, president of the United Lutheran Church in America.

Dr. Fry voiced “just sympathy” for the Israel. Government in its endeavor to solve this problem. He reported to the Council that a bill was now before the Israel parliament calling for the expropriation of all German properties, except those belonging to Mission groups.
