Dr. Vidal Mcdiano, president of the Union of Sephardim in France, was elected president of the CRIF–Representative Council of French Jewry–today. A leader in the French section of the General Zionist movement and a member of the executive of the World Jewish Congress, he succeeds Judge Leon Maiss, who was elected honorary president.
