The secret military trial of a former sergeant in the Israel Army charged with disclosing military secrets and delivering military documents to “unauthorized persons” was reported during the week-end in the local evening newspaper Meariv.
The newspaper says that the court martial, of Sgt. Malach Reicher, is being conducted “somewhere in Israel.” Reicher is described as a recent immigrant from Rumania who is known for his “Communist tendencies.” The “unauthorized persons” referred to in the charge are believed to be two Communist leaders recently arrested on charges of illegal possession of secret military information and documents.
