Kurt Weill, Noted Composer, Dies in New York; Was Compelled to Flee Nazi Germany

Kurt Weill, a noted Jewish musician who fled from Nazi Germany and became one of the most popular composers in America, died here yesterday at the age of 50. He wrote music for Broadway and Hollywood productions. His more serious musical achievements were hailed in concert halls throughout the world.
