Jacob Blaustein, president of the American Jewish Committee, discussed with President Truman during the week-end a number of questions concerning the Middle East, especially Israel. Because of the nature of the subjects discussed, the contents of the talks were not divulged. Earlier, Mr. Blaustein conferred at length with Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson.

(The Senate approved an appropriation of $27,450,000 during the week-ond for the relief of Palestine Arab displaced persons through the United Nations.)
