TEL AVIV (May. 15)
A 24-hour strike affecting some 300 doctors in government hospitals, clinics and immigrant camps has been called on a nationwide basic for tomorrow. However, skeleton staffs will be maintained at all institutions to care for emergency cases.
The Histadrut, Israel’s General Federation of Labor, issued a statement to the effect that the strike was not called over working conditions, but over the right of the Israel Medical Association to represent state physicians.
