Dr. Isidor Schalit, who served as Dr. Theodor Herzl’s first secretary, today received from the Vienna Jewish Community 46 cases of invaluable manuscripts and books, including volumes that were once owned by the founder of modern Zionism as well as rare works saved from destruction by the Nazis. The books and manuscripts will be turned over to the Jewish National Library in Jerusalem.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
