A report on his recent call on President Truman at the White House was presented today by Benjamin G. Browdy, president of the Zionist Organization of America, at an all-day session of the Z.O.A. national executive committee, attended by delegates from all sections of the United States.
President Truman, he stated, was reasuring on the point of an honest and fair implementation of the Three Power declaration which not only promised equal treatment to Israel in the matter of the sale of arms, but went further to guarantee the peace and present borders in the Near East. President Truman, Mr. Browdy added, seemed very well informed about Israel and the Zionist movement.
David Moskowitz, chairman of the Z.O.A. convention program committee, reported that 2,000 delegates from every state in the union will attend the 53rd annual convention of the Z.O.A., scheduled to open in Chicago on June 30. Speakers who addressed today’s meeting included Dr. Israel Goldstein, Dr. Emanuel Neumann, Judge Morris Rothenberg and Dr. Harris Levine.
