Operas of Two Jewish Composers Chosen for Presentation at “festival of Britain”

Two Jewish composers are among four whose operas were chosen by a jury of judges of the Council of Britain for presentation at next year’s “Festival of Britain.” The Jewish composers are: Arthur Benjamin, of Australia; and, Berthold Goldschmidt, a naturalized British subject who was born in Hamburg, Germany.
