A delegation of members of the Israel Parliament left today for London at the invitation of the British Parliament. They will be given a reception by the Lord Mayor of London and a dinner will be arranged in their honor by Primo Minister Clement Attlec.
The delegation represents six partions in the Israel Parliament but not the Loft Socialist Mapam or the extreme right Horut. It is headed by Pinkhas Lubianiker, general secretary of the Histadrut, the Israel Federation of Labor, and a leading member of the right-wing Socialist Mapai. In a statement issued prior to the departure of the delegation, Mr. Lubianiker said:
The delegation was pleased to receive the invitation of the British Parliament. It considers the invitation a symbol of the desire of the British people to ##rove relations and understanding between Britain and Israel. The delegation is convinced that personal contact will contribute to mutual British-Israeli cooperation for peace and progress in the Middle East.”
