One U.S. Defendant Pleads Guilty. Two Others Judged Innocent of Shipping Arms to Israel

The trial of three men on charges of smuggling war material from California to Palestine in 1948 ended in Federal Court here yesterday when one defendant pleaded guilty and the charges against the other two were dismissed.

The defendant who changed his plea to guilty was Herman N. Greenspun of Las Vegas, Nevada. The other defendants were Lawrence C. Ives and Lloyd Rosenblum, both of New York. The judge will sentence Mr. Greenspun on Monday. The maximum sentence is two years imprisonment or $10,000 in fines, or both.
