The State Commission on Displaced Persons reported that DP’s resettling in New Jersey in the past year have not displaced American workers in their jobs, and have been absorbed without appreciable disturbance of the normal employment picture.

According to the report, approximately 8,000 DP’s of all religions faiths are in New Jersey. Between one-third and one-half are actually workers, the rest being wives and children. Moreove, the state will have no difficulty in finding homes and jobs for its quota of newcomers expected under the revised DP law.
