B’nai B’rith Youth Organization Opens Four-day Convention to Discuss Jewish Problems

A four-day convention of the A.Z.A., B’nai B’rith youth organization, opened here last night attended by more than 400 delegates from all parts of the United States and Canada.

The convention will discuss various problems concerning Jewish youth in America and Canada as well as aid which Jewish youth groups in this country can organize for Israel. The A.Z.A. has been in existence for 27 years and has a membership of 12,000.

Max F. Baer, national director of the A.Z.A., reminded the delegates that “the next few months and even the next few years will undoubtedly be marked by continued disillusionment, uncertainties and painful difficulties. The only security which we can find in this world lies in our own hearts and our own minds. Real security may be found only in an inner fortitude which enables us to accept and to cope with any situation that the future may bring.”
