U.S. Jewish Leaders in Israel Decide to Seek U.J.A. Expansion; Will Back Israel Loan

The American Jewish leaders participating in the extraordinary economic parky here called jointly by the Israel Government and the Jewish Agency late today adopted a resolution emphasizing that the United Jewish Appeal must be continued on an enlarged scale in order to help Israel resolve its economic problems.

The resolution also said that should the Israel Government decide to float a public loan in the United States as a meas of obtaining funds to finance its constructive programs, American Jewry will extend its fullest support to this loan.

“We pledgo to render maximum service to attain this objective,” the resolution said. The resolution also advocated more intensive offorts to be undertaken both in the United States and in Israel to “realize the potentials in the fiold of private investment.”
