Moslem Religious Courts Open in Israel; Ministry for Religions Begins Repairing Mosques

Moslem religious courts were officially opened in Israel this week-end. The Ministry for Religious also announced that it was starting a program to repair all state mosques which suffered from damage or neglect during the war. Special care will be extended to the famous Elgisar Mosque in Acre, the Ministry declared.

Iraqi police have arrested members of an organization said to have issued forged passports to-Jews desiring to emigrate from that Arab country to countries other than Israel, it was reported from Beirut. The only passports for emigration issued to Jews are for those going to Israel.
