The Jewish National Fund of Britain, in observance of the jubilee celebration of the Fund throughout the world this year, has announced that a campaign to redeem a 20,000-dunam tract of land to be named in honor of Simon Marks, outstanding British Zionist leader, will be launched here on Sunday.

The tract, to be known as “Chevel Simon Marks,” will be located in the southern Jerusalem corridor and will form a link between southern Judea and the Negev, Israel’s southern desert area. A goal of 300,000 pounds has been set for the project, to be collected outside the Joint Palestine Appeal campaign and traditional J.N.F. collections.
