Former Nazi Aide Reported Sentenced in Innsbruck for Murder of Jewish Leader

Walter Hopfgartner, former Nazi district leader in Innsbruck who organized a program in that city in November, 1938, has been sentenced to imprisonment by a people’s court, it was reported here in a Vienna dispatch.

Hopfgartner is said to have murdered with his own hands the late president of the Jewish community of Innsbruck, Dr. Richard Berger.
