President Chaim Weizmann of Israel today cabled President Truman congratulations on his escape from an attempt on his life, which was made yesterday by two Puerto Rican nationalists. The cable reads:
“Pray accept the heartfelt congratulations of the Israel people and of myself on your Providential escape. With the warmest personal wishes to Mrs. Truman and yourself.”
