Ukrainian nationalists, including DP’s recently admitted to Australia, held a meeting in Adelaide honoring the memery of ?en. Simon Petlura, Ukrainian leader who in 1919 was responsible for the mass killing of tens of thousands of Jews in the Ukraine.
Among the Ukrainians recently admitted to Australia as a DP is a former member of the Nazi police force in the Tarnopol district, in Galicia, who was charged with killing a large number of Jews in eastern Poland.
