Americans may soon be able to send relatives in Israel money which would permit them to buy food, clothing and other items in addition to their normal ration coupons, it was learned here today. The scheme, which is tentatively labelled “Script for Israel,” is obviously a device to earn additional dollars for the Jewish state’s economy.

The Ministry of Agriculture is reportedly agreeable to the plan and will support it and cooperate with it. The Ministry of Trade will also be approached for its assistance, it was said. The program is meant to supplement the new policy of admitting unlimited numbers of food parcels into the country from abroad.
